Real Madrid are ready to wait 12 months for Werder Bremen star Mesut Ozil.
AS says Real have decided to pull back from bidding for the midfielder and instead will seek to secure him to a pre-contract in January. Ozil’s current Werder deal expires in June 2011.
Real coach Jose Mourinho wants to bring Ozil to Madrid, but is happy to wait a year to do so.
For the coming season, he will stick with Dutch playmaker Rafael van der Vaart.
